How do I skip the tutorial song in the Jubeat arcade game without an e-amusement card? - Arqade

New to jubeat - a general how-to?
Main Post:
Hi r/jubeat -
I've only been playing jubeat for a few months now. My main exposure has been at an arcade about 45 minutes away from me or at conventions. Is there a general how-to that someone has written for this game? I'm absolutely addicted, but my knowledge of Japanese is very limited. I know how to change the note skin, difficulty, but not sure how to do much else.
I've been playing jubeat prop (unsure of other variations) and hover between Extreme 7-8 level songs, with an occasional and poorly done 9 thrown in the mix.
Is there a way to sort by difficulty?
By genre?
Any tips are greatly appreciated. :)

Hi there! You'll have to forgive me, as I've been playing Qubell and my memory of Prop might be a bit foggy...
In the top left corner of the menu, if you touch that once then touch the bottom leftmost icon in the next menu, you'll show all songs currently available. This all depends on how your arcade has the machine set up. You can then hold that same top left corner, and you'll see the word "level" fan out. Then you can sort every single song by level. I honestly do that every time, as the other sort options are alphabetical, or whatever the Japanese equivalent is, and it doesn't really accomplish much.
Big recommendation is to download Google Translate on your phone. It lets you take a picture and it'll translate the text. I will take a picture of the menus, level up requirements, etc. The app lets me know exactly what it's saying. Well, in Engrish.
Note skin is where it gets fuzzy for me. There is a way, I'm just having a hard time picturing it. I think it's on the bottom right next to the arrow, there's gears. Then within those gears you can change the skin. If it's not there, then I'm flat wrong...
A recommendation I tell everyone who is looking to get better is to your your fingers! All of them separately! I see a lot of people hunting and pecking with one finger. Or with two hands with all fingers coming to a single point. When you start playing solely on extreme or 10s, that simply will not work. Pretend you're playing a piano. Even the pinkys.
This sub is dead, but I love the game so much that I stick around :) Shoot me any questions whenever if you want.
Playing jubeat with streamdeck xl?
Main Post:
Howdy! I recently got a streamdeck xl and I realized it would make a literal perfect controller for jubeat. How would I go about doing that? Also, would it be a bad idea even if I can?

it would be a very poor controller for jubeat, actually
How would I go about doing that?

Also, would it be a bad idea even if I can?

Jubeat Improvement
Main Post:
Recently joined this sub. I went to the only arcade in my city that has SDVX, Jubeat, and DDR. The SDVX machine was broken unfortunately, and I’m terrible at DDR. However, after playing Jubeat, I fell in love with it and am able to C/B 7 Ext / Adv songs on my first try. However, I mainly only play touhou songs and whenever I try an 8 I get eviscerated. Any advice on trying harder 7’s and moving up to 8? Thanks.
(BTW the arcade I go to is the Chinatown fair in NYC.)

At the level you're at, just play. Play random 7s, ones you've not played before, get used to reading new things, expose yourself to new patterns - this is probably the most important thing to do at this point in your development imo
No offense to Jubeat players

I love both games. They both have their own distinct play styles, but ya, IIDX is definitely hard. Especially when you start playing 14k and stuff, it's very unpleasant to start.
Anyone ever buy a Jubeat arcade cabinet?
Main Post:
I was looking online and found a couple places to buy a Jubeat festo machine for around 2200 usd. I was wondering if anyone has done this. Will this machine connect to JP servers properly? Is the music all already on the device? I am studying japanese at around an hour a day and can read rudimentary japanese, so by the time I plan to buy one (1 to 2 years) i should be able to navigate the UI well enough.
Basically Im just wondering if anyone has done thie and if there are any particular downsides to doing this vs getting the 400 controller and a 27 inch screen and finding the software (aside from the vast price difference of course)
Ultimately I want to have a full arcade in my house but Jubeat is my #1 priority right now
Edit: I did see some in australia listed for 1500, but I can only assume id be paying the difference in shipping anyway with something that large.
Top Comment: You can get them for 1.5k I think btw Do not get one if you aren’t well versed in arcade data, hacking and how Konami servers operate. That stuff is all up to you to discover. People generally won’t hand hold you through general setup
Advice for starting jubeat?
Main Post:
I recently went to one of few rhythm based arcades in the UK for the first time and instantly fell in love with jubeat. I want to start playing it properly, but paying £15 for a few awkward sessions a month won't be good enough, so I'd love some advice.
I need to know:
- What kind of arcade-style home set-ups are possible (how much, how easy and do any guides exist?)
- How viable the app is for practise (and also where I could find it)
- What versions exist and how many songs each has
Thanks for any help <3
Top Comment: Official “home-style” sets up do exist, cost a fair bit of money in terms of machinery, and is a taboo topic in terms of legal usage in terms of the program so you’re gonna have to dig that yourself. The app version is quite viable as long as you have at least an iPad or something of the same size. I would recommend downloading the the Japanese version from the Japanese App Store because it can buy copyright songs, usually of anisongs, jpop, nico, etc. The latest version currently is jubeat clan. There are roughly 8 versions of jubeat not counting the “append versions and saucer fulfill” As for arcade cabinets, they all use the same cabinet; it’s only the software that is being updated. There are currently about 800 songs. Hope this helps, Good luck!
Any way to play Jubeat at home?
Main Post:
During these times, I can't drive down to L.A. to play on the only cab in California. Any way I can get a good experience?

I've been playing jubeat on the ipad for close to a decade now.
If you want to download it, make sure you download it from the japanese appstore, and I highly recommend jailbreaking, as the songs are inexcusably expensive.
Jubeat Qubell at home
Main Post:
To start, I admit that I know absolutely nothing about Jubeat, Bemani, or really anything about arcade games. This would be a gift for someone, and I'm not sure if it's even possible.
Is it possible to buy at Jubeat Qubell for at-home use? I looked through some other posts here and found some about other Jubeat products, and those seem to say they aren't sold to regular consumers, and that it can't be connected to the game services from home anyway. Looking to purchase a legit item from a reputable vendor or re-seller, and would need it shipped to Canada. Appreciate any advice or guidance, even if just to say that I'm on a fool's errand and should give up! Thanks!
Top Comment: http://www.gamesaru.net/purchase https://www.facebook.com/groups/487629124643497/ The cabinet will basically be non-functional without access to the servers. Workarounds can't really be discussed here, but if you actually drop the money on one ($xxxx), you'll figure that part out. https://www.gamo2.com/en/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=310 This is a cheaper option, but out of stock, and still requires the other missing part.
